Florida Man in Booking Report tee at a home improvement store as an alligator walks down Aisle 43

Florida Man Weekly Roundup: Gator Shops Aisle 43 at Home Depot — November 6, 2026

Another week, another masterclass in living life without a rulebook. Florida Man and Florida Woman showed up, clocked in, and delivered — so grab a cold one, kick off the flip-flops, and enjoy this week's finest.

🐊 Cleanup on Aisle 43 (It's a Gator)

After about 10 inches of rain flooded Okeechobee County, a 10-foot alligator was spotted cruising down a flooded highway — and then strolled right into the local Home Depot. The actual call for service: "We need assistance with an alligator in Aisle 43." Deputies with the Okeechobee County Sheriff's Office wrangled the big guy, who was apparently just there to price out some home improvement projects. Nobody was hurt. Respect the hustle.

🧟 No Guts, No Ticket

On Halloween night in Lee County, a deputy pulled over a driver who turned out to be a full-on zombie — costume, makeup, the works. This undead motorist had a need for speed instead of brains, but the deputy got into the holiday spirit and let the zombie off with a warning. Bodycam caught the whole spooky exchange. Drive slower, walkers.

🤡 Clown Bandit Forgets Cars Have License Plates

Also on Halloween, an 18-year-old Miami man in a clown mask walked into a Palm Coast gas station, pretended a black bag held a weapon, told the clerk "don't be a hero," and drove off with the cash — and the whole register drawer. Small problem: the SUV he was driving was already reported stolen out of Highland Beach. License plate cameras pinged it about an hour later, and a St. Johns County K-9 deputy stopped him in St. Augustine with the drawer, the cash and the clown mask in plain view. Nobody was hurt. Flagler's sheriff was not amused.

💨 100 MPH Past the Tractors

A 63-year-old Miami Shores man was arrested in Immokalee after Collier County deputies say they clocked him doing 100 mph in a 60 zone on State Road 29 — a road shared with tractors and farm buses. He's charged under Florida's new super-speeder law. And if you're wondering what excuses these folks give, a statewide roundup this week included classics like "I just had coffee" and "I have an appointment with my barber."

🐬 Florida Man Deploys Drone, Saves a Dolphin

In North Bay Village, Ahmed Raul Perez's wife noticed a dolphin struggling in Biscayne Bay, so he sent up his drone and spotted netting dragging down its tail. They called 911, Marine Patrol units from North Bay Village and the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office cut the dolphin free, and Perez filmed it swimming off into deeper water with no apparent injuries. "I got teary eyed, super happy," he said. Us too, man. 💙
